WALKS IN THE AREA

From Deya there are 3 easy walks

1. DEYA COVE

(approximately 1 hour)
A delightful walk past Robert Graves's house, through rural farmland down to Deya's picturesque cove (or cala).

2. DEYA-SOLLER TOWN

(approximately 3 hours)
A longer and more comprehensive walk up the mountains with outstanding sea views. Climb to the 15th century village Son Coll, then descend through lush farmland and ruined chapels to Soller Town (return to Deya by bus or taxi).

3. COASTAL WALK DEYA-SOLLER

(approximately 3 hours)
A wilder walk for those with sure feet as narrow paths hang spectacularly over the sea. Not for those inclined to vertigo! The route descends to Cala Deya (see No 1 above) then continues precipitously along the edge of the sea through tall pine trees rising through private terraced land to the lighthouse in Soller port. (Return via tram and bus or taxi).

OTHER WALKS
Mallorca has a wonderful network of well-maintained walks of all grades to suit everyone. The island bus service is efficient and comprehensive. Driving is easy and hire cars are inexpensive. Naturally, the hot midday sun is not condusive to long walks but the cool hours of early summer mornings and evenings will reward the walker of any age or inclination.
